Cholisal dental gel is a transparent, colorless, homogeneous mass with an anise oil odor. The drug is approved for use as an over-the-counter remedy. Composition: 1 g of gel contains: choline salicylate - 87.1 mg, cetalkonium chloride - 0.1 mg. Pharmacological action: Cholisal is a combined preparation for topical use in dentistry, possessing anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antiseptic effects. Choline salicylate provides local anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving action, while cetalkonium chloride is an antiseptic. Use The drug is used for inflammatory processes of the oral mucosa, erosions and ulcerations of the oral mucosa, gingivitis, and also for periodontal diseases. It is also used to relieve pain during teething in children. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to salicylates, cetalkonium chloride, or other components of the drug. The drug should be used with caution during pregnancy, during breastfeeding, and in children under 1 year of age. Childhood under 3 years of age is a contraindication. Storage The drug should be stored out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25degreeC; do not freeze.
