Use - Spasms of smooth muscles associated with diseases of the biliary tract (cholecystolithiasis, cholangiolithiasis, cholecystitis, pericholecystitis, cholangitis, papillitis). - Spasms of smooth muscles of the urinary tract (nephrolithiasis, ureterolithiasis, pyelitis, cystitis, tenesmus of the bladder). - As an auxiliary therapy (when oral therapy is not possible): spasms of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract (gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, spasms of the cardia and pylorus, enteritis, colitis); gynecological diseases (dysmenorrhea). How to take - Adults: the usual dose is 40-240 mg per day (divided into 1-3 administrations) intramuscularly. - For relief of acute renal or biliary colic: 40-80 mg intravenously slowly (administration duration approximately 30 seconds). Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients of the drug (especially to sodium disulfite). - Severe hepatic, renal, or heart failure (low cardiac output syndrome). - Pediatric age (the use of drotaverine in children has not been studied in clinical trials). - Breastfeeding period.
