Use: Sabril is used in combination with other antiepileptic drugs for the treatment of patients with resistant partial epilepsy, with or without secondary generalization, in cases of inefficiency or poor tolerability of appropriate drug combinations. It is also used as monotherapy for infantile spasms (West syndrome). How to take: Therapy with Sabril should only be initiated by a specialist in epileptology, neurology, or pediatric neurology. Further treatment should be agreed upon and carried out under the supervision of such a specialist. Sabril is intended for oral administration once or twice daily and can be taken before or after meals. If, after a trial, treatment with vigabatrin does not provide a clinically significant improvement in the manifestations of epilepsy, it should not be continued. The use of vigabatrin should be gradually discontinued under constant monitoring. The tablet dosage form is not used in children under 6 years of age due to the risk of aspiration. - Adults: Maximum effectiveness is usually observed with doses in the range of 2-3 g/day. An initial dose of 1 g/day should be added to the patient's current antiepileptic drug regimen. The daily dose should be titrated in 0.5 g increments at weekly intervals depending on clinical response and tolerability. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to vigabatrin or any excipients listed in the drug's composition. Storage: Store at room temperature in a place inaccessible to children
