Use Ferrum Lek i/m 100mg- 2ml is used for the treatment of all forms of iron deficiency conditions when it is necessary to quickly replenish iron stores. This includes severe iron deficiency caused by blood loss, impaired iron absorption in the intestine, and conditions where oral iron preparations are ineffective or their use is impossible. How to take Ferrum Lek is administered intramuscularly. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor, and strict adherence to the appropriate dosage form and regimen is required. The drug is injected alternately into the right and left gluteal muscles. An opened ampoule must be used immediately. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. - Known pronounced hypersensitivity when using other parenteral iron preparations. - Excessive iron content in the body (hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis). - Anemia not associated with iron deficiency (e.g., hemolytic anemia). - Disorders of iron incorporation into hemoglobin (lead anemia, sideroachrestic anemia, thalassemia). - I trimester of pregnancy (for i/m solution). - Osler-Rendu-Weber syndrome (Rendu-Weber-Osler disease). - Acute kidney infectious diseases. - Uncontrolled hyperparathyroidism. - Decompensated liver cirrhosis. - Infectious hepatitis. - Children under 4 months of age. The drug should be used with caution in bronchial asthma, allergic eczema or other atopic allergies, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, chronic polyarthritis, cardiovascular insufficiency, low iron binding capacity and/or folic acid deficiency, liver diseases, as well as acute and chronic infectious diseases.
