Use Syntomycin liniment 10% is intended for external use in the second phase of the wound healing process (in the absence of pus and necrotic tissues), for long-healing trophic ulcers and II-III degree burns. How to take For external use, the liniment is applied to gauze pads or directly to the affected area. An ordinary dressing is placed on top, which can be supplemented with parchment or compress paper. Dressings are changed depending on indications, every 1-3 days, sometimes every 4-5 days. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to chloramphenicol. - Bone marrow hematopoiesis suppression. - Acute intermittent porphyria. - Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. - Hepatic and/or renal insufficiency. - Pregnancy and lactation period (breastfeeding). - Psoriasis. - Not used in newborns due to the possible development of ''gray syndrome'', which manifests as flatulence, nausea, hypothermia, grayish-blue skin color, progressive cyanosis, dyspnea, and cardiovascular insufficiency.
