Use The One Step HCG pregnancy test (cassette) is a rapid, one-step test for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in urine. It is used as an aid for early detection of pregnancy and is intended for in vitro self-testing. How to take - Before testing, ensure that the test and urine sample have reached room temperature. Use a fresh urine sample collected in a clean, dry glass or plastic container. The sample can be stored in the refrigerator (2-8degreeC) for up to 48 hours. - Place the test device on a flat surface. - Fill the dropper with urine and, holding it vertically, add 2-3 full drops of urine into the sample well ''S,'' as indicated by the arrow. - Wait for red lines to appear. The test result should be read in approximately 5 minutes. Contraindications - Do not use the test after the expiration date or if the packaging is damaged. - Certain medical conditions, such as ovarian cyst, ectopic pregnancy, trophoblastic disease, and some non-trophoblastic neoplasms (e.g., testicular tumors, prostate cancer, breast cancer, and lung cancer), can cause elevated HCG levels and lead to false-positive results. - Taking certain medications containing HCG (e.g., those used for infertility treatment) can lead to false results. - A too-diluted urine sample (e.g., due to excessive fluid intake before the test) may not contain sufficient HCG levels, which can lead to a false-negative result. - Testing too early in pregnancy, when HCG levels are still low, can lead to a false-negative result. It is recommended to repeat the test after 48 hours if pregnancy is still suspected. - The test is for single use only.
