Use Salbutamol is used to treat asthma, bronchospasms, and other conditions involving reversible narrowing of the airways. It is indicated for smooth muscle spasms in bronchial asthma, chronic spastic bronchitis, and pulmonary emphysema. The drug is also used to relieve attacks of bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and chronic bronchitis. Salbutamol eases breathing difficulties in bronchial asthma and other obstructive lung diseases. How to take Salbutamol is taken orally. For adults and children over 12 years of age, a single dose is 2-4 mg, taken 3-4 times a day. The subsequent dose is taken after 6 hours. If the effect is insufficient, after consulting a doctor, the dose may be increased to 8 mg. The maximum daily dose is 32 mg. For children aged 2 to 6 years, a dose of 0.1 mg/kg per intake (not more than 1-2 mg three times a day) is prescribed, observing a six-hour interval between doses. Contraindications Contraindications to the use of Salbutamol include hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and myocardial infarction. The drug should also not be taken in case of allergy (hypersensitivity) to salbutamol or any other component of the drug. Salbutamol should be used with caution in heart conditions (chest pain, irregular or very fast heartbeat, heart failure), when taking beta-blockers, in diabetes mellitus, and hyperfunction of the thyroid gland (thyrotoxicosis).
