Use Cefepime-Asteria is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. The usual dose and method of administration depend on the severity of the infection, kidney function, and the patient's general condition. Intravenous administration is preferred for patients with severe or life-threatening infections, especially when there is a risk of shock. The standard duration of treatment is 7 to 10 days; longer treatment may be required for more severe infections. For empirical treatment of febrile neutropenia, the usual duration of treatment should be at least 7 days or until the resolution of neutropenia. How to take Doses and the route of administration vary depending on the sensitivity of pathogens, the severity of the infection, the state of kidney function, and the patient's general condition. Intravenous administration is recommended for patients with severe or life-threatening infections, especially if there is a threat of septic shock. The usual duration of treatment is 7-10 days; longer treatment may be required for severe infections. For the treatment of febrile neutropenia, the usual duration of treatment is 7 days or until neutropenia disappears. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to cefepime, any other cephalosporin, or any of the excipients. A history of severe hypersensitivity reaction (e.g., anaphylactic reaction) to any other type of beta-lactam antibacterial agents (penicillins, monobactams, and carbapenems).
