Use The drug ''Smectika med'' is used for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in children (aged 1 month and older) and adults in complex therapy with an oral rehydration solution. It is also used for the symptomatic treatment of chronic diarrhea and abdominal pain associated with esophagogastroduodenal and intestinal diseases or functional bowel disorders in adults. How to take The contents of one sachet should be dissolved. - For children over 2 years old: dissolve the contents of the sachet in 50 ml of water and divide into several doses throughout the day, or mix thoroughly with a semi-liquid product (broth, compote, puree, baby food). - For adults: dissolve the contents of the sachet in half a glass (100 ml) of water. Dosage: - Treatment of acute diarrhea: - Children over 2 years old: 4 sachets per day for 3 days, then 2 sachets per day. - Adults: an average of 3 sachets per day. At the beginning of treatment, the daily dose can be doubled. - Other indications (for adults): an average of 3 sachets per day. The recommended course of treatment is 3-7 days. If one or more doses are missed, the medication should be resumed in the usual manner, without doubling the dose. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to diosmectite or other components of the drug. - Intestinal obstruction. - Phenylketonuria (due to the presence of aspartame in the composition).
