Use Breveprost contains the active substance travoprost, which belongs to prostaglandin analogs. Travoprost lowers intraocular pressure and can be used both alone and in combination with other eye drops that lower intraocular pressure (e.g., beta-blockers). The drug is used to lower intraocular pressure in adult patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. How to take Before using the drug, wash your hands and remove the cap from the bottle. Avoid contact of drops with soft contact lenses; contact lenses should be removed before using the drug and put back on 15 minutes after instillation. If the drug gets on the skin, immediately clean the skin from the drug, which is especially important for pregnant or planning pregnancy women. Breveprost can be used in children aged 2 months to 18 years in the same dosage as for adult patients. It is not recommended to stop using the drug without consulting your doctor, as uncontrolled eye pressure can lead to vision loss. Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines. Contraindications Do not use Breveprost if you have hypersensitivity to the active substance (travoprost) or to any other component of the drug. The drug is not recommended for use in children under 2 months of age. If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor before using the drug.
