Use Simbrynza is used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension when monotherapy does not provide sufficient IOP reduction. How to take The drug is applied topically. Adults should instill 1 drop of Simbrynza into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) twice daily. Shake the bottle well before use. To reduce the risk of systemic side effects after drug administration, it is recommended to close the eyelids and gently press with a finger on the area of the lacrimal sacs projection at the inner corner of the eye for 2 minutes after instillation. This helps reduce systemic absorption of the drug and enhances local action. Do not touch the tip of the bottle dropper to the eyelids or other surfaces to avoid contamination of the solution. The bottle must be tightly closed after use. In case of a missed dose, treatment should be continued with the next scheduled dose, and the dose should not exceed 1 drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to the active or excipient substances of the drug, or to sulfonamides. - Therapy with monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors.
