To prevent hypokalemia, it is recommended to combine Furosemide with potassium-sparing diuretics. When Furosemide is used concurrently with hypoglycemic agents, dosage adjustment of the latter may be required. Furosemide solution should not be mixed in the same syringe with other medicinal products. - Contraindications Furosemide is contraindicated during pregnancy (although in some cases it may be used with caution), during breastfeeding, in severe liver and kidney dysfunction, and in children. The drug is used with caution in elderly patients.
