Use Duphalac syrup is used in the following cases: - Constipation: to regulate the physiological rhythm of bowel movements. - Softening of stools for medical purposes: in cases of hemorrhoids, and in conditions after operations on the large intestine and in the anal area. - Hepatic encephalopathy in adults: for the treatment and prevention of hepatic coma or precoma. How to take The daily dose of lactulose can be taken once or divided into two parts. When using the product in sachets, tear off the corner of the sachet and immediately take the contents. - For constipation: - Adults: the initial daily dose is 15-45 ml, the maintenance daily dose is 10-30 ml. - Children 7-14 years: initial daily dose is 15 ml, maintenance daily dose is 10 ml/day. - Children 1-6 years: initial daily dose is 5-10 ml, maintenance daily dose is 5-10 ml. - Children under 1 year: initial daily dose is up to 5 ml, maintenance daily dose is up to 5 ml. - For hepatic encephalopathy (hepatic coma and precoma): - The initial dose is 30-45 ml 3 times a day. - Then switch to an individually selected maintenance dose so that soft stools occur 2-3 times a day. It is not recommended to use Duphalac for more than 2 weeks without consulting a doctor. During treatment with laxatives, it is recommended to drink enough fluids throughout the day (up to 2 liters, which corresponds to 6-8 glasses). Contraindications - Intestinal obstruction. - Perforation or risk of gastrointestinal perforation. - Galactose or fructose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. - Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
