Use Carvidil is used for arterial hypertension (as monotherapy or in combination with diuretics), chronic heart failure (as part of combination therapy), and ischemic heart disease (stable angina). How to take Take orally. The initial dose is 12.5 mg once a day, then the dose is increased to 25 mg once a day. If necessary, the dose can be increased once every 2 weeks; the maximum dose is 50 mg/day. In elderly patients, a dose of 12.5 mg/day may be effective. Contraindications Contraindications for the use of Carvidil include: - acute and decompensated chronic heart failure requiring intravenous administration of inotropic agents; - severe hepatic insufficiency; - AV-block II-III degree; - severe bradycardia (less than 50 beats per minute); - sick sinus syndrome (SSS); - arterial hypotension (systolic blood pressure less than 85 mmHg); - cardiogenic shock; - chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); - age under 18 years (efficacy and safety have not been established); - hypersensitivity to carvedilol or other components of the drug.
