Use Levo-Denk 500 is indicated in adults for the treatment of the following infections: acute pyelonephritis and complicated urinary tract infections, chronic bacterial prostatitis, inhalation anthrax (post-exposure prophylaxis and treatment). Levo-Denk 500 may also be used to complete a course of therapy in patients who have shown improvement during initial treatment with intravenous levofloxacin. Official recommendations for the proper use of antibacterial agents should be taken into account. How to take Levo-Denk 500 tablets should be taken at least two hours before or after taking iron salts, zinc salts, antacids containing magnesium or aluminum, as well as didanosine or sucralfate, as reduced absorption may occur. Contraindications Levofloxacin should be avoided in patients who have previously experienced serious adverse reactions to quinolones or fluoroquinolone-containing drugs. Treatment with levofloxacin in these patients should only be initiated in the absence of alternative treatment options and after careful benefit/risk assessment. Levofloxacin may cause serious, potentially fatal hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., angioedema up to anaphylactic shock), sometimes after the initial dose. Patients should immediately stop treatment and contact their doctor or emergency physician, who will take appropriate emergency measures.
