Use Zindolin (ciprofloxacin 500 mg) is indicated for lower respiratory tract infections caused by gram-negative microorganisms, including exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchopulmonary infections in bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis, and pneumonia. The drug is also used for chronic purulent otitis media, acute exacerbation of chronic sinusitis, urinary tract infections, genital infections, gastrointestinal tract infections (e.g., traveler's diarrhea), intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections caused by gram-negative bacteria, malignant otitis externa, bone and joint infections. Additionally, Zindolin is used for the prevention of invasive infections caused by Neisseria meningitides, and for pulmonary anthrax (prophylaxis and treatment). Ciprofloxacin may be prescribed to patients with neutropenia suffering from severe fever, presumably due to bacterial infection. How to take Take as directed by a doctor. The drug is intended for oral administration. The standard dosage for adults (18 years and older) is 500 mg (1 tablet) twice a day. Dosage and duration of treatment may vary depending on the disease. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones, as well as to other components of the drug. Concomitant use of ciprofloxacin with tizanidine is contraindicated. Not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age, except for the treatment of complications of cystic fibrosis caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa in children aged 5-7 years.
