Use Mezim forte 10000 is used for disorders of the exocrine function of the pancreas, accompanied by impaired digestion. How to take Mezim forte 10000 is taken orally, before meals, 1-2 tablets, without chewing, with plenty of liquid (if possible, alkaline: water, fruit juices). If necessary, another 1-4 tablets can be taken during meals. It is not recommended to exceed the daily dose of enzymes, which is 15000-20000 IU lipase/kg body weight, especially in patients with cystic fibrosis. The duration of treatment can vary from several days (for indigestion due to dietary errors) to several months or even years (for persistent disorders of pancreatic secretory function). The question of prescribing Mezim forte 10000 to children should be decided individually depending on the clinical situation. Contraindications Contraindications for the use of Mezim forte 10000 include: - hypersensitivity to pancreatin or other components of the drug; - acute pancreatitis; - exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis; - hereditary galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome; - children under 3 years of age (indivisible dosage form).
