Active substances

Use Lidocaine (10% aerosol) is a colorless alcoholic solution with a characteristic menthol odor, intended for topical application. Composition: One bottle contains: - Active substance: lidocaine 3.8 g (4.8 mg per dose). - Excipients: peppermint oil, propylene glycol, ethanol (96%). Pharmacotherapeutic group: Local anesthetics. Lidocaine aerosol is used in all cases where anesthesia of the skin or mucous membranes is required. In particular, it is used in dentistry and maxillofacial surgery (e.g., for anesthesia before local anesthesia, removal of mobile deciduous teeth, suturing mucous membranes), otolaryngology (for nasal bleeding, before tonsillectomy), endoscopic and instrumental examinations (pharyngeal anesthesia before intubation), obstetrics and gynecology (perineal anesthesia, during vaginal operations), and also in dermatology for anesthesia of the skin and mucous membranes during minor surgical operations. How to take The dose of the drug depends on the indications and the size of the anesthetized surface. One press of the valve releases 4.8 mg of lidocaine. To prevent high plasma concentrations, it is important to use the smallest dose that provides a satisfactory effect. Usually 1-2 sprays are sufficient, although in obstetrics 15-20 sprays or more may be used (maximum dose 40 sprays per 70 kg body weight). For children under 2 years of age, Lidocaine aerosol is recommended to be applied by dabbing (with a gauze swab) to avoid the risk of inhaling the drug and a burning sensation. Contraindications Lidocaine aerosol is not recommended for local anesthesia before tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy in children under 8 years of age. Storage Not above +25degreeC.
