Use: - Relief of angina attacks. - Short-term prevention of angina attacks before physical exertion or emotional stress. How to take: - Nitroglycerin should be taken at the first signs of an angina attack or before anticipated physical exertion or emotional stress. - Place 1 nitroglycerin tablet under the tongue and hold until completely dissolved, without swallowing. - The usual dose is 1 tablet under the tongue. - If an angina attack is not relieved within 5 minutes, another 1 nitroglycerin tablet should be taken. - If there is no therapeutic effect after taking 2 tablets, a doctor must be called. Contraindications: - Hypersensitivity to nitrates. - Collapse. - Shock. - Age under 18 years (lack of sufficient clinical data; efficacy and safety are not established for ages under 18 years). - Concomitant use of phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitors (including sildenafil, vardenafil, tadalafil, and other PDE-5 inhibitors). - Severe arterial hypotension (systolic blood pressure below 90 mmHg).
