Enalapril tablets 10mg №20

Use: Enalapril is used for essential hypertension (as monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensive agents, including thiazide diuretics), heart failure, and also for asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction (ejection fraction ≤35%) to prevent coronary ischemia. How to take: Enalapril is taken orally, regardless of food intake. The dose is selected individually for each patient. The initial dose of enalapril is 10-20 mg once a day, depending on the severity of arterial hypertension (AH). For mild AH, the recommended initial dose is 10 mg once a day. For other severities of AH, the initial dose is 20 mg once a day. The maintenance dose of enalapril is usually 20 mg once a day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 40 mg. Contraindications: - Hypersensitivity to enalapril or other components of the drug, as well as to any other ACE inhibitors. - History of angioedema associated with the use of ACE inhibitors. - Hereditary or idiopathic angioedema. - Pregnancy or planning a pregnancy. - Lactation (breastfeeding) period. - Children and adolescents under 18 years of age. - Concomitant use with aliskiren-containing preparations in patients with diabetes mellitus or renal impairment (creatinine clearance < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2). - Bilateral renal artery stenosis or renal artery stenosis of a single kidney. - Hyperkalemia. - Porphyria.
