Use Enap is used for the treatment of arterial hypertension (high blood pressure), the treatment of clinically significant heart failure, and for the prevention of clinically significant heart failure in patients with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction (with an ejection fraction ≤ 35%). - How to take The drug is taken orally, regardless of food intake. The initial dose for arterial hypertension is usually 10-20 mg once daily. The maintenance dose is typically 20 mg once daily, but can be adjusted individually; the maximum daily dose should not exceed 40 mg. For heart failure, the initial dose is 2.5 mg, with subsequent gradual increase to 10-20 mg in one or two divided doses. - Contraindications Enap is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to enalapril or other components of the drug, as well as to other ACE inhibitors. Contraindications also include a history of angioedema associated with ACE inhibitor use, hereditary or idiopathic angioedema, pregnancy or its planning, and concomitant use with aliskiren-containing drugs in patients with diabetes mellitus or renal impairment.
